The Lost Art of Letter Writing
It is over a year since the Pandemic began and the way we communicate has irrevocably changed. Through travel restrictions and social distancing, we have been forced to use social media platforms, video chats and emails as a replacement for daily communication and have lost the joy of human interaction. With the Project ‚The Lost art of Letter Writing‘, Trio Radial wants to create a new concert program.
At the beginning of the project, there will be a call for handwritten letters and that should be sent to Trio Radial. These letters will be selected by the trio and sent to various composers who will use this as a source of inspiration. Next to the these premiers, there will group improvisation from the Trio Radial. Excerpts from the letters will also be read by an actor or actress in concert.
With this project, Trio Radial wants in a small part to help end the isolation that the pandemic has brought many people and to create a personal project inspired by many different individuals.
