In 2022, Trio Radial presented its brand new concert series - Illuminationen at the Seilerbahn in Frankfurt on May 11th, June 17, July 16th.  There were premiers from Silvia Rosani, Raphaël Languillat and Brenda Gifford alongside works from Hannah Hanbiel Choi, Elnaz Seyedi, Kotoka Suzuki and students from an Open Call to the Hochschule für Musik Frankfurt.  

Our composers were given the theme of illumination as a source of inspiration.  Other works in the program, including „In Praise of Shadows“ from Kotoka Suzuki, offer a different perspective to the relationship between light and darkness. 

We find beauty not in the thing itself but in the patterns of shadows, the light and the darkness, that one thing against another creates… Were it not for shadows, there would be no beauty.
